Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus, Bokaro is organizing a 21-day induction program for the newly admitted students as per the instructions of AICTE, New Delhi, Government of India. Under this, the N.S.S. of the college organized ‘National Sports Day’ on 31st August 2024.
During the programme, the cricket competition was won by the team of B.Tech. – CSE final year, captained by Kunal. The runner up team was B.Tech. 1st year CSE, captained by Suraj Kumar. In the badminton competition, Prachi, a student of final year B.Tech. (EEE), secured the first position. Anshu Mishra of B.Tech. 1st year CSE secured the second position, and Simran Kumari of final year CSE secured the third position.
This event was coordinated by Prof. Sumit Pandey and sports teacher Kumar Rishabh. Apart from this, Prof. Mukesh Sinha, Prof. Alok Kumar, Prof. Jaydeep Sen, Dr. A.P. Barnwal, and Mr. Anand Jaiswal also contributed significantly.
College Director Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar said that the college is fully committed to promote sports and health along with education and placement. He also informed that recently a badminton court of Yunex company conforming to international standards has also been prepared in the college.
