Illegal coal seizure in Bokaro: Joint team of CCL recovered three tons of coal

The joint security team of CCL (Central Coalfields Limited) has raided Jarangdih Colliery in Kathara area of ​​Bokaro district and recovered three tonnes of illegal coal. This operation was led by Regional Security Officer Sunil Kumar Gupta.

According to the information received, this raid was conducted by the Regional Security Team and Jarangdih Colliery Patrol Team at around 5 am on August 25. This action was taken on the orders of Sanjay Kumar, General Manager of Kathara area.

As soon as the coal thieves saw the patrol vehicle and tried to run away, two motorcycles and a bicycle loaded with coal were seized on the spot and immediately damaged. Apart from this, about three tonnes of coal deposited near the outsourcing area of ​​Jarangdih project was also recovered. The recovered coal was loaded into the dumper with the help of pay-loader and safely deposited in the coal stock of Jarangdih Colliery.

Assistant Security Sub Inspector of General Manager’s Office Nageshwar Nonia, Chief Security Guard Mantu Singh, Senior Security Guard Bhuneshwar, Jarangdih Security Incharge Santosh, HSG Kanhaiya Saw and other soldiers were involved in this raid.

With this action of the security team, an effort has been made to curb illegal coal smuggling in the area, which will help in controlling such activities in future.
