BJP Leader Shot Dead by Chain Snatchers in Patna

In a shocking incident in Bihar’s capital, Patna, BJP leader Shyamsunder alias Munna Sharma was shot dead by criminals early Monday morning. Three bike-borne assailants attacked him, first shooting him and then stabbing him multiple times. After executing the crime, the attackers fled the scene. The entire incident was captured on CCTV. Shyamsunder was the President of the Nagar Mandal for Patna City Chowk.

 

According to CCTV footage, Shyamsunder was sitting by the roadside in the early hours when three criminals on a motorcycle approached him. They attempted to snatch his gold chain. When Shyamsunder resisted, one of the criminals shot him in the head, while another repeatedly stabbed him with a knife. Shyamsunder collapsed on the spot, covered in blood. Passersby who were out for a morning walk noticed him lying injured and rushed him to Nalanda Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

 

Upon hearing about the incident, police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem. Forensic teams and dog squads have been deployed to investigate the case.

 

According to Shyamsunder’s family, his son’s engagement ceremony was held the previous day, and several guests had come to their house. Shyamsunder had left early in the morning to drop off some of the guests. It was during his return that the fatal attack occurred.
