“Grand Welcome for Tata-Patna Vande Bharat at Chandil and Bokaro Stations”

Today, on September 15, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off Train No. 20893 (Tatanagar-Patna Vande Bharat Express) from Tatanagar Railway Station. This train will halt at Chandil and Bokaro stations under the Adra Division. To mark this significant occasion, grand events were organized at both Chandil and Bokaro stations.
At Chandil, the event was graced by the principal of a prominent local school as the chief guest, while at Bokaro, the Honorable MP of Dhanbad, Mr. Dulu Mahato, and the representative of Bokaro MLA, Biranchi Narayan, were the chief guests. Cultural programs were organized at both stations, where the performances by the Scouts and Guides, along with students from various schools, made the occasion special.
Essay and painting competitions on the theme “Contribution of Engineering in Railway Development” were conducted in various schools around Chandil and Bokaro stations. The winners were awarded by the Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Adra, Mr. Khagendra Nath Ghosh, at Bokaro, and by the esteemed guests at Chandil. The Vande Bharat Express was given a grand welcome in the presence of local dignitaries, representatives, and students at both stations. Railway officials and public representatives flagged off the train for its onward journey.
The event saw the presence of Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Adra, Mr. Khagendra Nath Ghosh, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Mr. Vikas Kumar, other railway officials, press and media representatives, and local citizens.
