In a significant development for SC/ST entrepreneurs in the Bokaro region, a formal meeting was held on Monday between the representatives of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) and the SC/ST Udyami Vikash Sangh. The meeting was orchestrated by the efforts of Shri Sanjay Kumar Bharti, President of SC/ST Udyami Vikash Sangh, who played a key role in facilitating this crucial dialogue.
Office of the Chief General Manager (Services) : A Constructive Exchange
The first meeting took place at the Office of the Chief General Manager (Services) from 11:15 AM to 11:50 AM. During this session, the BSL officials expressed their pleasure in meeting with Mr. Bharti and his team. The President of the Union extended a warm welcome to the Chief General Manager by presenting a bouquet of flowers.
Key discussions centered around the implementation of MSME and state government policies aimed at uplifting SC/ST entrepreneurs in Bokaro. BSL assured the delegation that they are committed to addressing the issues faced by these entrepreneurs in a positive manner. Additionally, Mr. Bharti requested that BSL open the registration window and reserve specific items for SC/ST tenderers. On the topic of gate pass issues, BSL informed the delegation that the difficulties surrounding gate passes had already been resolved.
Meeting with CGM (Mechanical) : A Positive Outlook
The second meeting was held with the CGM (Mechanical), Mr. Prakash Kr., from 12:10 PM to 12:40 PM. The discussions were equally fruitful, with BSL displaying a positive attitude towards issuing non-critical items to SC/ST entrepreneurs. BSL also shared that they have initiated discussions with other departments to provide items under a special quota for SC/ST entrepreneurs.
Mr. Bharti took the opportunity to request that BSL release some trial orders and assign repair works to SC/ST entrepreneurs. The CGM (Mechanical) expressed happiness over the proactive steps taken by the association and assured continued cooperation. The SC/ST Udyami Vikash Sangh presented the challenges faced by its members and received assurances from BSL that these concerns would be addressed.
