Police demolished Naxalite bunker, recovered many Naxalite books and other items.

Bokaro district police and security forces jointly conducted a search operation in Lugu hills of Lalpania in Bermo sub-division. Police had received secret information about the presence of wanted Naxalites here. After the information, a raid was conducted in that area on Wednesday and various materials used by Naxalites on daily basis, Naxalite magazines, Naxal posters, food items, uniforms used by Naxalites and other materials were recovered from the bunker.

According to the information, the police had received information that apart from Naxalite Vivek (CCM), a Naxalite carrying a bounty of one crore rupees, Naxalite Raghunath Hembram alias Chanchal alias Birsen (SAC) carrying a bounty of Rs 25 lac, located in Lalpania/Jageshwar Vihar police station under Bermo sub-division of Bokaro district. Many other Naxalites are staying back. Based on this information, a search operation was conducted in this area by a joint team of Cobra-203 Battalion, Jharkhand Jaguar, CRPF, JAP and District Force.

During the search operation conducted by the security forces, a Naxalite bunker was destroyed in Lugu mountain. During this period, security forces have recovered Naxalite uniforms, food items, Naxalite posters, utensils etc.
