BOKARO : MOU between BSL and Indian Oil Corporation

In Bokaro Steel City Township area, Indian Oil Corporation will supply gas to domestic and commercial consumers through gas pipeline network. An MOU was signed between BSL and Indian Oil Corporation for laying city gas pipeline in the township area.

On this occasion, BSL Director-in-Charge Mr. BK Tiwari , Executive Director (HR , Additional Charge Operations) Mr. Rajan Prasad , CGM (City Administration) Mr. Kundan Kumar , CGM (Technical) Mr. Laxmi Das , General Manager (City Administration) Mr. AK Singh , Senior Manager (City Administration) Mr. N Siddiqui etc. were present. On behalf of Indian Oil Corporation, Executive Director (CGD) Mr. Sanjay Kumar Jha , CGM (CGD) Mr. Shailesh Kumar Singh , General Manager (CGD) Mr. Chinmay Guha Biswas and other officials were present on this occasion.

It is worth noting that in August 2020 itself, BSL had granted working permission to Indian Oil for laying City Gas Distribution (CDG) pipeline and installation of last mile connectivity infrastructure and related technical facilities in Bokaro Steel City Township area. With the completion of the MOU, the expansion of the facility of PNG connection for domestic consumers and CNG outlets for vehicles in Bokaro Steel City Township area will accelerate further.

It is noteworthy that PNG / CNG, besides having high calorific value, is a safe , economical , eco-friendly and clean fuel, which will also help in reducing carbon footprint.
