The two-day football tournament going on in the premises of St. Xavier’s School, Bokaro, concluded on Sunday. The final match was played between Loyla Hindi Medium School Gomia and Carmel Hindi Medium School Bokaro Thermal in the senior category and St. Louis School Balidih and Mas Marshall Patki in the junior category.
Masi Marshall School Pataki won brilliantly 2–0. And in the senior category, Loyola Hindi Medium School Gomia won the match by defeating Carmel Hindi Medium School Bokaro Thermal 2-0.
School Principal Father Arun Minj (Society of Jesus), present as the chief guest, while congratulating the players, said that sports plays an important role in our lives. Along with sports, we should also pay special attention to our studies.
The Principal thanked all the sponsors. And Father Arun awarded and congratulated all the winners and runners-up. In the junior category, Rohit Murmu won the best player and Basant Murmu won the player of the match award. Shashi Marandi won the title of Best Player of the Match in the senior category. Hindi medium teacher Manisha expressed vote of thanks. Finally the ceremony ended with the national anthem.
