State Topper Shlok Prefers a Life Without Social Media, Aspires to Become an Engineer.
Shlok Anand, who topped Category A of the IOQM with 59 marks, avoids social media to focus on his studies. In an interview, the Class 9 student shared that he does not use Facebook or Instagram to maintain his concentration on academics. Shlok, who dreams of becoming a computer engineer, is the son of civil engineer Kishore Kumar and homemaker Runam Kumari from Patna. Along with school studies, he devotes around four hours daily to self-study. Shlok has been studying at DPS Bokaro since Class 3 and credits his success to the guidance of Principal Dr. Gangwar and his teachers. Apart from academics, he enjoys playing chess and advises his peers to focus on fundamental concepts and designated topics for success in exams like the IOQM.
Aarush, Second in State, Dedicates 10 Hours Daily to Studies.
Aarush Banerjee, who secured second place in Jharkhand with 54 marks in Category B of the IOQM, is known for his dedication to academics. Including school hours, the Class 12 student studies for nearly 10 hours daily. His hard work has paid off, as he once again proved his mettle at the state level after topping the IOQM last year. Aarush, the son of Dr. Debashish Banerjee, a doctor in Pune, and Babita Banerjee, a teacher in Bokaro, has been a bright student at DPS Bokaro since nursery. Actively participating in Olympiads from an early age, he attributes his success to the competitive environment at school, the support of Principal Dr. Gangwar, and his teachers. Passionate about computer science, Aarush aims to become a software engineer and considers his mother his role model. He also enjoys playing volleyball and encourages his peers to prepare for exams with focus and enthusiasm.
