- “Freight Train Derails at Tupkadih Station, Disrupts Train Services”

Adra: On the night of 25th September 2024, at approximately 8:45 PM, a freight train derailed at Tupkadih railway station yard under the Adra division. Two wagons, the 8th and 9th from the rear of the train, went off the tracks, affecting the movement of trains on both up and down lines.
Upon receiving the information, the divisional control room was immediately activated. Senior officials promptly reached the control room and the accident site to oversee restoration efforts. The down line was cleared for operations by 12:55 AM, allowing stranded trains to resume their journey. Full operations on both lines were restored by 1:12 PM on 26th September 2024.
A total of 22 trains were affected due to the derailment, with several being diverted through alternative routes to minimize disruption.
