Flag hoisting and cultural programs were organized by Rotary Club of Bokaro Steel City on the 78th anniversary of India’s independence at Ray of Hope in Ulgora and Club premises of Sector 4 of Rotary Club of Bokaro Steel City. In which club members participated in large numbers.
President Rotarian Mahesh Kumar Gupta and Club Secretary Rotarian Hardeep Singh saluted the national flag after the flag hoisting at both the places. After this, juice, biscuits, snacks etc. were distributed to the children of Asha Ki Kiran and Rotary Play Group School.
After this, about 9 Rotarian members also donated blood voluntarily in the blood donation camp organized at the Rotary Club premises, Sector 4, under the successful leadership of Rotarian Dr. Rajdeep, courtesy of Blood Bank, Bokaro General Hospital. President Rotarian Mahesh Kumar Gupta while explaining the importance of blood donation said that blood donation is a kind of donation of life, we save a life by donating 1 unit of blood. President Mahesh Kumar Gupta said that both the donor and the recipient benefit by donating blood.
During this time, cultural programs were also organized in which club members as well as children and their parents participated in large numbers.
Apart from this, a tree plantation program was also organized for environmental protection by planting about 21 fruit trees in the club premises. Telling the importance of trees in life, President Mahesh Kumar Gupta gave small saplings to all the present parents and requested everyone to keep these saplings at their homes and also plant at least one around them on this day. Make sure to take a pledge to plant five trees.
