Tenughat jail prisoner dies during treatment

Mohammad Aurangzeb, a prisoner lodged in Tenughat Jail of Bermo sub-division of Bokaro district, died during treatment in Bokaro Sadar Hospital.

Regarding the incident, Tenughat Jail Jailor Neeraj Kumar said that Mohammad Aurangzeb was sent to Tenughat Jail on administrative grounds from Dhanbad, and he was sentenced to six years in an Arms Act case. Other cases were also pending against him. On August 16, when he suddenly had severe pain in his stomach, he was treated by Dr. Shambhu Kumar of the jail hospital and then kept in the jail hospital ward.

On Thursday morning he suddenly felt severe pain in his chest and became unconscious. After which he was sent to Bermo sub-divisional hospital, Tenughat. From there he was referred to Bokaro General Hospital for better treatment. Where he died during treatment.

Doctor Shambhu Kumar told that Mohammad Aurangzeb was ill since August 16 and was undergoing treatment. When he was brought to Sub-Divisional Hospital Tenughat on Thursday morning, he was unconscious, so he was referred to Bokaro General Hospital. The doctor said that initially it seems that his death could be due to heart attack, but it will be confirmed after the post mortem report.
