Gomia : A team from the Dhanbad Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Lalan Kumar, a revenue employee in the Gomia circle, while accepting a bribe of ₹20,000. The arrest took place as part of a well-planned operation conducted by the ACB.
According to reports, Lalan Kumar had demanded ₹20,000 from a landholder in exchange for correcting a name in official records and completing the online process. The landholder, unable to pay the bribe, reported the matter to the ACB. Acting on the complaint, the ACB team laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while he was accepting the bribe.
Following the arrest, the ACB team took Lalan Kumar into custody for further investigation. The incident has created panic among corrupt officials and employees in the Gomia revenue department, highlighting the ongoing crackdown on corruption in government offices.
Authorities have assured strict action against those involved in corrupt practices, reinforcing their commitment to transparency and accountability in public services.
