The criminals had an encounter with the police who had gone to arrest the criminals wanted in the advocate Gopal Krishna murder case. In this encounter, a suspected criminal Roshan Kumar was shot. At the same time, his associate Sandeep Kalindi managed to escape while firing.
Ranchi Superintendent of Police Chandan Kumar Sinha told the media on Sunday that the killer of civil court advocate Gopi Krishna was identified on Friday itself. After identification, SIT was busy searching for him. Meanwhile, late on Saturday night, information was received that Roshan Kumar, a criminal involved in the murder of the lawyer, was hiding in Maheshpur of Angada police station area of Ranchi. As soon as the information was confirmed, the police surrounded the house of Bagan Toli located near Maheshpur of Angada police station area.
The police team asked the criminal to surrender, but he started firing at the police. After the criminal opened fire, the police started retaliating. Several rounds were also fired by the police. Meanwhile, a police bullet hit the criminal. Despite being shot, the criminal tried to flee from the spot, but the police team caught him. A pistol has also been recovered from the criminal injured in the encounter. The police team is conducting raids in search of his other accomplice.
The name of the suspected criminal who was injured in the encounter with the police is Roshan Kumar. He is a resident of Sukhdev Nagar police station area of Ranchi. At present, he is being treated in the hospital under the supervision of the police. On Friday, Roshan, along with his other associates, had stabbed advocate Gopal Krishna to death. Once the condition of the injured criminal is stable, he will be interrogated regarding the murder of Gopi Krishna.
