Foreign Liquor, Beer, and Fake Stickers Seized; Legal Action Underway

Bokaro: Under the directive of Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and the guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Excise, Bokaro, a joint team comprising officials from the District Excise Force and Petarwar Police Station carried out a major raid on Tuesday based on confidential information.

The operation took place at Gagi Bazar Math Tola in the Petarwar police station area, targeting the residences of Sadmu Prasad and Suraj Kumar Prasad. During the raid, a large quantity of illegal foreign liquor was recovered.

 

  • The team seized 293 bottles (69.12 litres) of foreign liquor, approximately 141 bottles (75.75 litres) of beer, and fake Jharkhand government liquor stickers. The items are estimated to amount to nearly 8 cartons of foreign liquor and 10 cartons of beer.

 

Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused individuals under relevant sections of the Excise Act.

The raid team included Excise Inspector Vijay Kumar Pal, Sub-Inspector (Sadar-cum-Tenughat) Sunny Vivek Tirkey, Sub-Inspector (Bermo-cum-Chandpura) Mahesh Das, and Petarwar Police Station In-Charge Shri Raju Munda, among others.
