Adra: Under the ongoing cleanliness fortnight, “Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan-24,” the Adra Division of South Eastern Railway organized a campaign focused on the sale of recycled and waste-based products at various railway stations and units. This initiative aims to promote environmental conservation, encourage the reuse of waste materials, and raise awareness about cleanliness.
During the campaign, a variety of recycled products and artistic items crafted from waste materials were put on display and sold at various units and stations within the division. This effort not only highlights proper waste management but also demonstrates how waste can be creatively repurposed.
In addition to the sale of recycled products, a special cleanliness drive was conducted at railway premises, platforms, trains, and public areas. Railway officials and staff actively participated in the campaign, spreading awareness about the importance of cleanliness among passengers. The sale of recycled and waste-based products will not only contribute to environmental protection but also mark a significant step towards a sustainable future.
It is noteworthy that a series of cleanliness-related activities are being conducted across Adra Division as part of “Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan-24” to further promote cleanliness awareness. The campaign will include activities such as cleaning drives, awareness programs, and health camps, all of which will continue until the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October.
