Bokaro Police has got another success in the Shankar Ravani murder case. Bokaro Police has arrested a criminal from Bihar. At his behest, a huge quantity of weapons and bullets including AK-47 have been recovered.
A case under Arms Act was registered in Harla police station in this regard. The raid was going on on the instructions of Bokaro SP for quick investigation of the case. On the instructions of the SP, an SIT was formed and the team was led by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bokaro City, Alok Ranjan. Not only this, following the necessary guidelines received by SP Bokaro, accused Virendra Prasad alias Virendra Prasad Yadav was arrested from his ancestral home Ganaura Chhapra.
The accused was currently based in Dhanbad and Bokaro. Shankar Colony Bekarbandh Infa Jeshu Kids School Dhanbad and Bharat Ekta Colony Plot No. 135V Police Station Sector-12 District Bokaro. On the behest of the accused, a huge quantity of weapons and bullets including AK-47 have been recovered from Adarsh Co-operative under Sector 12 police station area of Bokaro. The car used in the murder has been recovered from Govindpur in Dhanbad.
Apart from this, 65 cartoons of foreign liquor of different companies have also been recovered from Adarsh Co-operative. The accused told that he along with other associates used to do the business of spurious liquor. The accused admitted his involvement in the Shankar Rawani murder case and said that Shankar Rawani was murdered for dominance in the Ash Pound contract.
Police have already arrested Ashok Kumar Singh @ Ashok Samrat, Rajendra Dubey @ Raju Dubey, Parikshit Singh @ Raja Singh, Amit Ravani and Shyamal Ravani in this case and sent them to jail. Police said that many more information will be revealed after the arrested accused is taken into remand.
