Migrant Worker from Tulbul Dies in Odisha; Family Receives Compensation of ₹2 Lakh

A migrant worker from Tulbul, who had gone to Odisha for employment, tragically passed away a few days ago. The arrival of his body at his ancestral home caused an outpouring of grief among his family members. After discussions, a compensation of ₹2 lakh was agreed upon for the bereaved family.

As per reports, Vinod Prajapati, a 45-year-old resident of Tulbul in Gomia block, was working as a supervisor for Rishu Jain in Sardam, Odisha. His family was informed that he had fallen seriously ill. On September 5, Vinod’s relative Anil Prajapati and other family members rushed to Odisha. Upon arrival, they found that Vinod had already passed away, and his body had begun to decompose. They managed to bring his body back to Tulbul on September 7, and the news of his death spread rapidly throughout the village.

Following the arrival of the body, the deceased’s family and local residents demanded compensation from Rishu Jain. The matter was led by social workers Mahadev Prajapati and Fikru Saw, and an agreement was reached to provide ₹2 lakh to the grieving family. Vinod is survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters, both of whom are married. The family, particularly Vinod’s wife, has been inconsolable since the tragedy.
