Interact Club of Rotary Bokaro organized a blood donation camp at St. Xavier’s School, Sector 1. About 30 students, 7 teachers, and 2 Rotarians donated blood in this camp. This blood donation camp was organized by Interact Club on the occasion of 59th Foundation Day of St. Xavier’s School.
President of Interact Club, Aksa, said that the objective of this camp is to make children understand the importance of blood donation and encourage them to donate blood. He further said that donating blood does not have any adverse effect on health, but new blood is formed and circulated in our body which removes many impurities and makes our body disorder-free and healthy. Secretary of Interact Club, Ayushi Patnaik was also present in this camp and her cooperation was also highly appreciated.
President of Rotary Bokaro, Rt. Mahesh Gupta himself donated blood to encourage the children. Inspired by this, other children also started donating blood. School Principal Father Arun Minj played an important role in organizing the program. The successful operation of the camp was done by Rotary Bokaro’s Interact Chairperson Rt. Happened under the supervision of Chandrima Ray.
This camp was organized courtesy the Blood Bank of Bokaro General Hospital. Dr. Surendra and Dr. of Bokaro General Hospital participated in the camp. Along with Dr. Rt. Gaurav Vishal, 10 other paramedical staff of BGH were also present. Rotary Club Secretary Hardeep Singh, Rt. Pradeep Ray, Rt. Inderpreet etc. were also present. Overall it was a very successful project.
