The inter-state border meeting was organized in view of the upcoming assembly elections 2024. Police officers from Jharkhand and West Bengal participated in it.
Chas Sub-Divisional Police Officer Praveen Kumar Singh presided over the meeting held at Zaika Resort located on Chas-Purulia Road in Bokaro district. In this meeting, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Raghunathpur and Sub-Divisional Police Officer Jhalida and other police officials of Purulia district of West Bengal, the border state of Bokaro, participated.
The following points were discussed in the inter-state meeting :-
- Regarding exchange of Naxal/crime/communal related intelligence.
- Regarding recovery of illicit liquor, drugs, prohibited items, illegal weapons and other contraband.
- Regarding formation of inter-state check post.
- Regarding the activity and action of inter-state gangs.
- Regarding taking proper action to stop unauthorized movement of money during elections.
- Regarding keeping special vigil against inter-state criminals and accused wanted in cases, absconders and warrants.
