Ranchi : The state government has revoked the suspension of IAS officer Pooja Singhal following the recommendation of a committee chaired by the Chief Secretary. Acting on the committee’s suggestion, the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms, and Official Language has issued an official order, directing Pooja Singhal to report for duty in the Personnel Department.

It is worth recalling that on December 7, 2024, Pooja Singhal received significant relief after being granted bail by the PLMA Court in Jharkhand. She was released on bail upon furnishing two personal sureties of ₹2 lakh each. The court also directed her to surrender her passport.

Pooja Singhal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on May 11, 2022, in connection with a money laundering case. The arrest followed ED raids conducted on May 6, 2022, at various locations linked to her. During these operations, ED officials recovered ₹19.31 crore in cash from the residence and office of her husband Abhishek Jha’s chartered accountant, Suman Kumar.
