Ranchi : A tragic accident near Ranchi on Tuesday claimed the lives of two women and left five others seriously injured. The incident occurred near a toll plaza in the Nagri police station area when a high mast light tower suddenly collapsed.
According to local authorities, an auto-rickshaw carrying eight passengers was passing through the area when the tower fell, crushing the vehicle. Eyewitnesses reported that the impact was severe, leading to the immediate death of two women, while five other passengers sustained critical injuries.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the collapse, and officials are assessing whether structural weaknesses or external factors contributed to the accident.
The location of the incident is approximately 18 kilometers from Ranchi. Authorities have assured a thorough probe and necessary action to prevent such incidents in the future.
