It is proposed to pay one thousand eighty eight rupees (₹ 1088/-) per day as daily duty remuneration to the home guards.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given a big gift to the Home Guards (volunteers) on the occasion of his 49th birthday. He has approved the proposal to give daily duty remuneration to Home Guards (volunteers) at par with police personnel. Under this, it is proposed to pay one thousand eighty-eight rupees (₹ 1088/-)
per day as daily duty remuneration to the home guards (volunteers) at par with the police personnel.At present they are paid only five hundred rupees (₹500/-) per day. At present the number of home guards for law and order is three thousand five hundred twenty seven (3527).
