Fruit Vendor Shot in Broad Daylight in Bokaro, Critical Condition; Police Investigation Underway.

Bokaro: In a shocking incident that unfolded in broad daylight, unidentified assailants shot a fruit vendor in Bokaro and fled the scene, leaving the businessman severely injured. The incident occurred near the fruit warehouse at Laxmi Market in Sector 4 police station area.

 

The injured has been identified as Vivek Saw, a resident and fruit trader who regularly sets up his cart at the City Centre vegetable market in Sector 4. According to initial reports, the attack took place when Saw was preparing his fruit cart. Two men on a motorcycle approached him, engaged in a brief conversation, and suddenly opened fire. The bullet struck his right shoulder, causing serious injuries.

 

Local residents immediately rushed the injured vendor to KM Memorial Hospital in Chas, approximately seven kilometers from the scene, where his condition is reported to be critical. This has raised questions, as Bokaro General Hospital is situated only a short distance from the site of the attack, yet the victim was taken to a private hospital in Chas.

 

Vivek Saw’s wife, Sumiran Kumari, expressed shock and concern, stating that her husband was simply carrying out his routine work when he became the target of a deadly attack by unidentified criminals.

 

Following the incident, police arrived at the spot and began an investigation. Officials are currently collecting evidence and attempting to trace the assailants involved in the shooting.

 

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and the police are exploring all possible angles. Further developments are awaited as the investigation progresses.
