Ranchi : The first-ever Jharkhand Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Conclave 2025 was successfully held on August 22 and 23 at Hotel Radisson Blu, Ranchi. The event was organized by Mission Blue Foundation with Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT) as the academic partner.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of JUT, Dr. D. K. Singh, served as the Vice Chairperson of the conclave. The inaugural session was graced by Chief Guest Shri Pradeep Kumar Verma, Hon’ble Rajya Sabha MP from Odisha, and senior Ranchi legislator Shri C. P. Singh, along with other dignitaries, who inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar, Director of Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus, Bokaro, along with his team members Prof. Mahmud Alam and Prof. Pallavi Prasad, actively participated in the conclave. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jaruhar highlighted that Jharkhand, being a state with numerous tribal communities, requires CSR initiatives to drive upliftment and social welfare. He also emphasized that 19 districts of Jharkhand are included in the Government of India’s Aspirational Districts Programme.
During the inaugural session, representatives from Indian Railways, Jindal Steel, and Tata Steel showcased PowerPoint presentations on their implemented CSR projects. Across various technical sessions, nearly 26 presentations were delivered, focusing on diverse CSR interventions.
The conclave marked a significant step in strengthening CSR initiatives in Jharkhand and emphasized collaborative efforts between academia, industry, and policymakers for holistic development.
