• 336 Bottles (133.56 Liters) of Liquor Seized from Maruti Alto LX, Case Under Petarwar Police Station.

Bokaro: Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Vijaya Jadhav and under the guidance of the Assistant Commissioner of Excise, Bokaro, the district excise team launched a raid against illegal liquor trade in view of upcoming festivals like Eid, Sarhul, and Ram Navami.
Based on a confidential tip-off, the team conducted a search operation in the Angwali area under the Petarwar police station. During the operation, a silver-colored Maruti Alto LX (registration number JH 10 AC 5939) parked by the roadside was searched. Upon inspection, the officials recovered a total of 336 bottles (133.56 liters) of liquor, stored in the vehicle’s rear seat and trunk, comprising:
- 120 bottles (750 ml each) of 111 Whisky in 10 cartons.
- 192 bottles (180 ml each) of Sterling B7 Whisky in 4 cartons.
- 24 bottles (375 ml each) of Sterling B7 Whisky in 1 carton.
A case is being registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Excise Act.
The raid was conducted by Excise Inspector Bijay Kumar Pal, Sub-Inspector (Sadar-Tenughat) Sunny Vivek Tirkey, and Sub-Inspector (Bermo-Chandrapura) Mahesh Das.
