Engineers’ Day Celebrated at Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus, Bokaro

Bokaro: Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus, an Engineering and Management college in Bokaro, celebrated Engineers’ Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of the renowned engineer and Bharat Ratna awardee, M. Visvesvaraya. The event was graced by the presence of the chief guest, the institution’s secretary, Mr. Surendra Pal Singh, and the special guest, Engineer Mr. Harpal Singh.

Addressing the engineering students, the college director, Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar, emphasized the role of engineers in safeguarding society, enhancing living standards, and contributing to its overall development. He also highlighted that Visvesvaraya, apart from his technical skills, placed great importance on moral integrity.

The event saw the participation of faculty members including Dr. Bikas Ghosal, Dr. Deepak Kumar, Prof. Sumeet Kumar Pandey, Prof. Mahmood Alam, Prof. Rohit Verma, Prof. Saleem, Prof. Mukesh Kumar Sinha, Prof. Alok Kumar, Prof. Dayashankar Divakar, Mr. Anand Jaiswal, Mr. Anil Singh, and others. The event was hosted by guest faculty member Ms. Pratibha Kumari, and the institution’s president, Mr. Tarsem Singh, extended his congratulations to everyone present.

The celebration honored the life and contributions of M. Visvesvaraya and highlighted the significance of engineering in nation-building and societal progress.
