Bokaro :  The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out raids at multiple locations in Bokaro on Tuesday morning in connection with alleged irregularities in land transactions. The operation, which began early in the day, targeted the residence of Mahesh Nagia in Rana Pratap Nagar, Chas area of Bokaro district.

According to sources, ED officials are conducting searches at two premises. Mahesh Nagia is reportedly involved in both the land and paint business. Officials are scrutinizing documents and records as part of the ongoing investigation.

Previous Raids Conducted Just Two Weeks Ago

This is not the first time the ED has undertaken such action in the region. On April 22, the agency conducted extensive raids in Ranchi and Bokaro, focusing on properties linked to alleged land scam cases. During that operation, the ED had searched the residences of Kishore Kisku, the project head of Umayush Multicom Pvt. Ltd., and landowners Ejhar Hussain and Akhtar Hussain, located in Ukreed.

Raids were also conducted at an office situated on disputed land in Tethulia village. The disputed property includes land recorded under Khata No. 59 and Plot Nos. 450/426, totaling approximately one acre and three decimals. Officials believe the property was involved in fraudulent transactions, which prompted the search and seizure operation.

The ED is continuing its probe to uncover the extent of the alleged land scam and identify those involved in the illicit transactions. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
