• All construction works to be completed by October 15 : DC Bokaro

Bokaro : A joint meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mr. Ajay Nath Jha and Superintendent of Police (SP) Mr. Harvinder Singh at the Bokaro Airport auditorium to review the ongoing expansion works of Bokaro Airport.
During the meeting, the DC reviewed various works related to the airport’s expansion. He inquired about the status of the watch tower construction required for the installation of high-intensity flashlights from Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Mr. Rajneesh Kumar, who briefed on the progress made so far.
**Encroachment-Free Zone**
As per the conditions of civil aviation, the surrounding area of Bokaro Airport is to be made encroachment-free. In this regard, officials from Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) management shared necessary details with the DC. The DC also reviewed the clearance of bushes and cleanliness work inside the airport premises, to which BSL officials assured early completion. Meanwhile, Civil Surgeon Dr. Abhay Bhushan Prasad was directed to ensure the availability of an ambulance inside the airport premises in accordance with safety standards.
Deadline for Completion – October 15
DC Mr. Jha directed that all necessary works for making Bokaro Airport fully operational must be completed by October 15. He emphasized that construction of basic infrastructure including safety arrangements, drainage systems, barrier systems, and protective walls must be completed on time, maintaining prescribed quality and standards.
The meeting was attended by Divisional Forest Officer Mr. Rajneesh Kumar, Deputy Development Commissioner Mrs. Shatabdi Majumdar, Civil Surgeon Dr. Abhay Bhushan Prasad, Additional Collector Mr. Mumtaz Ansari, Chas Sub-Divisional Officer Ms. Pranjal Dhanda, District Public Relations Officer Mr. Ravi Kumar, along with officials from BSL, aviation authorities, and other departments.
