The Central Government has appointed Chief Justices for eight High Courts across the country. Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao has been appointed as the new Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court, replacing Justice Dr. B.R. Sarangi. The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended these appointments to streamline the judicial system and enhance the efficiency of court proceedings.
Until now, Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad had been serving as the Acting Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court. With these new appointments, it is expected that the functioning of the judiciary will become more effective, allowing courts to address pending cases more efficiently.
These changes are seen as a step towards strengthening the judicial framework across various states, ensuring that justice is delivered in a timely and efficient manner. The new Chief Justices are expected to bring fresh perspectives and leadership to their respective High Courts.
