Hardcore Extremist Commander Rameshwar Mahto Declared Fugitive, Police Paste Notices at Residences.

Ranchi: In a major crackdown on extremists, the police have issued a proclamation notice against hardcore extremist commander Rameshwar Mahto alias Pahadi, who broke away from the TSPC and formed his own criminal organization, ‘BKS Tiwari.’ The police, accompanied by drummers, pasted the notice at his residence in Damru village under Keredari police station in Hazaribagh. A similar action was carried out at the residence of Anish Ansari alias Avinash, an active member of the same outfit, in Matwe village under Budhmu police station, Ranchi.

Both Mahto and Ansari, who have been absconding for a long time, have been warned through the notice to surrender within the stipulated time. Failing this, their properties will be seized. The two extremists are wanted in several serious cases registered at Thakurgaon police station near Ranchi, along with multiple cases in Barkagaon, Keredari, Khalari, Budhmu, and Thakurgaon police station areas.

The action was carried out under the direction of Ranchi DIG and SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha, following a court order. The operation was supervised by Khalari DSP Ram Narayan Chaudhary and executed by the Thakurgaon and Budhmu police teams.
