Bokaro : Bokaro Superintendent of Police (SP) Harvinder Singh carried out a surprise inspection of Bokaro Thermal Police Station on Friday. During the visit, he closely examined the police station premises, official records, sentry room, and barracks. He also held a meeting with the station in-charge, Inspector Pinku Kumar Yadav, along with other officials, and issued several key directives.

As part of the inspection, the SP reviewed the case diaries and ordered the speedy disposal of pending cases. He instructed officers that police must work with firmness to curb crime and check the spread of Naxal activities.

During the meeting, the SP made it clear that crime and Naxalism would not be tolerated under any circumstances in the district. He directed the station in-charge and other officers to keep constant surveillance on the movements of active Naxal outfits and to further strengthen the intelligence network.

The SP stated that Naxals are being given the opportunity to surrender. If they choose to return to the mainstream and live respectfully with their families and in society, it will be welcomed. However, if they continue to pursue violence, the police will not hesitate to take tough action. Warning the Naxals, he added that if they fail to lay down their arms, they must be prepared to face dire consequences.

Alongside this, the SP also checked the cleanliness of the police station premises, maintenance of records, and discipline among personnel. He emphasized that the role of the police is not only to catch criminals but also to build public trust. Hence, every officer should work with sensitivity and dedication.

The surprise inspection by the Bokaro SP has instilled alertness among the police personnel at the station, and it is expected that crime and Naxal activities will now be brought under even stronger control.
