• Accountant-Cum-Computer Operator Caught Red-Handed Taking Bribe by Dhanbad ACB

Bokaro, Jharkhand : In a major anti-corruption operation, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team from Dhanbad arrested a government official red-handed while accepting a bribe in Gomia block of Bokaro district on Wednesday.
The arrested individual, Horil Prajapati, who serves as the accountant-cum-computer operator at the Block Education Department, was caught while taking a bribe of ₹3,500. According to officials, Prajapati had allegedly demanded ₹6,000 from a para-teacher in exchange for processing work-related tasks.
Following a formal complaint filed with the ACB, an investigation was initiated. After verifying the authenticity of the allegations, the ACB laid a trap and apprehended Prajapati while he was accepting the bribe amount.
The accused was immediately taken into custody and transported to Dhanbad for further interrogation. A case under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered, and further legal proceedings are underway.
The incident has sparked concern over ongoing corruption within grassroots educational offices, and officials have assured a thorough investigation.
