Adra : The 68th Railway Service Awards Ceremony for the year 2023 was held today with great enthusiasm at SER Mixed Higher Secondary School/Campus-1, Adra. The event marked a celebration of the exceptional service rendered by the railway staff.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, Shri Sumit Narula, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Adra Division. In her welcome address, Mrs. Seema Kumari, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer, spoke of the importance of recognizing the dedication and hard work of railway employees. Shri Sumit Narula also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of the awards in encouraging continuous excellence within the workforce.
A highlight of the event was the cultural program, featuring impressive performances by students from SER Mixed Higher Secondary School. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of awards, honoring 108 officers and employees from various departments for their distinguished service. Each awardee received a certificate of appreciation.
Prominent attendees included Mrs. Malavika Narula, President of SERWWO/Adra, and Shri Khagendra Nath Ghosh, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM), alongside senior officials, employees, and their families. Members of the media were also present to cover the celebration.
The event was a morale booster, motivating employees to strive for even greater achievements in the future.
